Ingredients
  • 1 baguette, sliced on a bias into ½-inch thick slices
  • 6 oz Brie cheese, sliced thin (rind on or off)
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1–2 Opal apples, thinly sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp honey, for drizzling
  • 1–2 tsp fresh thyme leaves, for garnish

Optional: pinch of sea salt and/or cracked pepper

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
     Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Assemble the crostini:

○      Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on the baking sheet.

○      Top each slice with a piece or two of Brie.

○      Add a few pieces of cooked bacon.

○      Place 1–2 thin Opal apple slices on top of each.

  1. Bake:

○      Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the Brie is melted and the edges of the bread are golden and crisp.

  1. Finish:

○      Remove from the oven.

○      Drizzle with honey while warm.

○      Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and an optional pinch of sea salt or cracked pepper.

  1. Serve:

○      Serve warm or at room temp. Best eaten the same day.
