Grilled PB & J Apple Sandwiches


  • 1 Opal Apple, peeled cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup jam or jelly
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temp


Spread the butter evenly over one side of each bread slice.

Working in batches, place one slice of bread butter side down on a hot grill pan.

Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter onto the bread slice followed by a few apple slices and a tablespoon of jelly. Top with a slice of bread butter side up.

Cook over medium high heat for 2 minutes then gently flip the sandwich and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Continue with the remaining ingredients. Cut in half and serve immediately.
