- 2 Opal® apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon candied ginger, chopped
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 packages (15 each) mini phyllo dough shells
Heat the oven to 350 F. In a small saucepan, add Opal® apples, sugar, cinnamon, butter, ginger and water. On medium heat bring apple mixture to a simmer; cover. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Fill each shell with a teaspoon of filling. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
